    Affliation: Universiti Kuala Lumpur Ms Lai Siew Yoon is a Chinese Language lecturer in Universiti Kuala Lumpur. She holds a Master’s degree in Modern Language Studies from Universiti Malaya, a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) majoring in Chinese, from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a teacher training certificate from the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. Ms Lai has been teaching Chinese as a second language to diploma and degree students in Unversiti Kuala Lumpur since 2008. Before joining Universiti Kuala Lumpur, she taught Chinese language in a secondary school for nine years. Ms Lai also has three years’ experience in teaching Chinese studies and methodology in a teacher training college in Seremban, Malaysia. Ms Lai also authored four Chinese workbooks when she teaching Chinese in a secondary school.
